The Interior Design Career Journey of Eilyn Cueto

Eilyn Cueto

Eilyn Cueto was born and raised in Miami, and she was very young when she started to realize she was drawn to the field of interior design. She didn’t realize it at first, but she had a tendency to do things earlier than others. This attraction actually began when her father would take her to the local Home Depot as a young girl, where she would convince him to buy her some paint for her bedroom, invoking her mother’s permission to get him to go along.

Of course, he would always give in, and she would go home, lock herself in her room and paint the walls. At the same time, she would rearrange everything inside to create a brand new atmosphere and feel. This was a pattern she would repeat every few months and, while she didn’t understand it then, thiswas the germination of her passion for interior design. Eilyn Cueto was just 16 when she graduated high school, which means she but being that age, she really didn’t know what to do for a living. Her practical side thought it might be good to go into law, but her heart was not in it, she took the opportunity to travel awhile, and fell in love with Costa Rica, where she spent almost 6 years in college, where she studied architecture and interior design. Eilyn Cueto also began to discover her fresh design vision while still in college, working as a freelance designer with a licensed architect. From there, she was able to design and build numerous public spaces, including hotels, restaurants, markets and many more. In fact, by the time she returned to Miami, she was ready to open her own company, from which she gave her best to clients throughout the state of Florida and even internationally.

By the time Eilyn Cueto returned to Miami from Costa Rica, where she spent a half dozen years or so discovering what she wanted to do with her life, she was ready to open her own company. From there, she served clients throughout the state of Florida and even internationally, providing high quality design services. Her work has been featured all over the media, as well as in magazines. She has compiled a significant record as a design specialist and she has a long way to go.

Above almost everything else in her life, Eilyn Cueto believes strongly that remembering where she came from is extremely important, as is realizing where she wants to go next. She believes that living in a community means giving back as much as possible, which is why she works with a large number of community charities, including The Salvation Army, KidSanctuary Campus, and the international chapter of Un Techo para mi Pais (A Roof for my Country). Her participation with those charities comes from her commitment to making sure that every child – and indeed every human being – in the world has a right to a place they can call home.

Over her decade or so in the business of interior design, Eilyn Cueto has managed to forge many relationships with people in all walks of life. This is because she loves what she does, but she also loves the people with whom she works, as well as the clients who trust her with their design needs. That is why she has developed a clear goal of establishing a design firm that begins at the grassroots level and building it into a place where anyone can go to get exactly what they want, whether it is classic or trendy in nature. Eilyn Cueto is all about the beauty and functionality of design, and making sure everyone has access to it.
